Let us Create a Custom Piece for You
Got a design in mind that you want to see made into reality? Let us help! Here are some basic steps in our standard custom design process.
– 1 –
Consultation:
Bring your design ideas and inspiration images to us, and let’s find out together exactly what you are envisioning and how it can translate into the medium of precious metals and gems! Depending on how much you already know of what you desire to create or have decided upon this can be a multi-visit or a single visit process.
– 2 –
Design:
We’ll have one of our design teams create a sketch or a computer rendering interpretation of the design concept and from that initial design idea we can fine tune back and forth to create the perfect piece. Sometimes a wax carving or print will be created, depending on the item you need to have made.
– 3 –
Creation:
Your piece will be cast, the metal polished and refined, gemstones or diamonds set by skillful goldsmiths, and the final piece reviewed for quality and then presented to you!
Sometimes a desired design can be fulfilled by looking through the vendor catalogs of the companies we partner with, saving on custom design costs if something like what you are dreaming of already exists. If it can’t, then custom is for you!
Bear in mind that custom or made-to-order pieces are nonreturnable and non-refundable. Often custom designs can take 6 to 10 weeks to create, subject to stone sourcing, the back and forth of design changes, delays in communication, etc.
